I've mentioned how absolutely remote our cabin was, right? Well, there was one town that was only about 6-7 miles away. It's a mere shadow of the thriving metropolis it was back in the early 1900s, but its run-down charm, isolation and population that I could just about count on one hand made it a great place to visit.
