Into The Forest

July 6, 2010 by abbie 2,667 Comments

(This is Part Two of my Colorado vacation posts.  See Part One here.) After our first night's sleep at the cabin, we decided to spend the day at the cabin and exploring the forest around us.  After a delicious breakfast, we headed out for a walk.  The kids were all very thrilled to find trees, plants, flowers, rocks that were so different that the ones they find near home. A view of the inside of the dome: After exploring … [Read more...]

Sunshine of your love

November 9, 2009 by abbie 16 Comments

We live in a part of Texas where we normally have 2 seasons:  very hot and very cold.  Rarely do we get to enjoy post card worthy spring and fall, but I'm thrilled to say this year has been the exception.  Not only did we enjoy a long and lovely spring, but we are experiencing a glorious fall!  Exceptional weather, gorgeous trees and lots of leaves to play in! This past Saturday we spent almost the entire day just savoring every moment of an ideal day.  We headed out to rake the yard and … [Read more...]
