My name is Abbie Sanderson. I’m 37, married, have three amazing kids ages 15, 12, and 8. We live in North Texas, work from home, and homeschool. I grew up around here, moved around and had crazy adventures, and settled back down here.
The Green Wife was originally created with the intent of blogging about my family’s journey into being a “green” family. Once I put my baby in cloth diapers, the greenness and urge to make everything in our lives as eco-friendly as possible took over my world. My motivation to keep our carbon footprint as limited as possible soared.
My passion lost its intensity. Hey, I’m just being honest. I mean, yeah, I still want to do as little harm as possible, but my enthusiasm faded and The Green Wife turned more toward tutorials, recipes, and just random stuff that probably only interests me. But I’ve been blogging on this site for 7 years now and it’s become a pretty fun scrapbook for my family. I suppose that puts me in the “mom blogger” category.
You’ll find me blogging about my favorites:
- knitting
- yoga
- homeschooling
- kid-friendly activities
- cooking/recipes
- crafting/tutorials
- reviews/giveaways
- random family life
- maybe even some gaming. I’m a Titanfall addict, but love Dying Light, and just about any Call of Duty, but Black Ops II and Advanced Warfare are my favorites
