I really thought I might make it through the adventure of motherhood without having a child color their face with a marker. I thought I was going to get off scott-free and never have a photo like this to enjoy 20 years from now:
However, as you can see, today was that special day in my life. As I was putting a log on the fire, I hear little footsteps come around the corner. I turned to look and there she was…a bit unsure and perhaps nervous about my reaction. I tried not to laugh! Honest! But those big gorgeous eyes staring up at me and that scribble on her forehead…she was irresistible. I laughed a bit as I invesigated.
There were two questions in my mind:
1) Was this self-inflicted forehead art or was there a big brother to blame?
2) Was this a permanent marker or a washable one?
The answer to the first question lies in her expression in this picture:
“Guilty as charged, Mommy! You knew purple was my favorite color!!”
Answer to question 2, you ask? It was a dry erase marker that I found uncapped on the breakfast room floor. The good news: it washes right off with a bit of water.
Consider this mommy officially broken in to the world of forehead art.
Hehe…Jilli does this every chance she gets, and it’s usually a purple marker too, and she colors her nose. Great shots! I don’t think I took a picture, duh. Silly girls!
Too funny. So far we haven’t gotten the face. He’s covered everywhere else in his body. He favorite place is the bottom of his toes.
Silly girl 😉 I’m glad it was just a dry erase marker!
Oh my! She’s a beauty, even with marker on her head.
